Start building the community you want to live in. Today!

The Community Founders Course shows you how to build your founding group, step by step. You don't need land or money to begin.

Wanting community is easy. Starting one is hard.

You don't know where to begin.

There is no obvious first step, so the idea stays an idea.

You can't do it alone.

A community needs committed people, and finding them feels like luck.

Groups stall.

Without structure, early enthusiasm fades after a few meetings.

Most people who dream of living in community never get past talking about it. You can.

By the end of this course, you will have:

A founding group

People who have chosen each other and are ready to commit.

A shared intention

A name, a Statement of Shared Intention, and a way to make decisions together.

A signed Charter

A Community Founders Charter that turns interest into a team.

We've been where you are.

Township exists to help people create community-led housing. We know how daunting the first steps feel, because we have taken them alongside founders like you. This course is the path we wish every founding group had from day one.

It was created by Ronaye, Alastair and Margaret, the team behind the book Community Led Housing.
